Hello Wendy,

A quick check of the County Wicklow parish records tells us that James Carlton Hill married Sarah Philips in the Church of Ireland parish of Wicklow (Wicklow Town & districts) in 1822. The baptism register of Wicklow parish lists eight children born to the couple between 1823 and 1835, and James' occupation is given as Shopkeeper and Postmaster.

There is also a baptism record for James Hill, son of James and Margaret Hill of Rathdrum on the 16th of January, 1798.
