A   Draft Heritage Plan for county Wicklow was approved by the members of Wicklow County Council on 03/07/17.

The plan sets out a five year strategy and action plan for the conservation and management of Wicklow’s natural, built and cultural heritage, and upon adoption will supersede the previous County Wicklow Heritage Plan 2009-14.

The Heritage Plan plays a key role in translating National policy to local action in Wicklow through the activities of Wicklow County Council and partner organisations. The Plan was prepared by the Wicklow Heritage Forum, a widely representative group set up by Wicklow County Council and consisting of representatives of local, statutory and non statutory groups.

This is your plan and we would love to hear your views.  

 

All are invited to attend the following public information meetings;

Thursday 14th September Wicklow Library 6 -8 pm

Tuesday 19th September Arklow Library (Community Room) 6-8 pm

Thursday 21st September Greystones Library 6-8pm

Tues 26th September   Blessington Library 6-8 pm

Wednesday 27th   September Ballywaltrim Bray 6-8 pm

 Written submissions are invited until the 29th September 2017, via e mail to dburns@wicklowcoco.ie or post to ; Heritage Office, Wicklow County Council, County Buildings, Wicklow Town.

Please mark ‘Heritage Plan Submission’ and include your name and contact details along with the name of any organisation that you represent (if relevant).
